On Saturdays, Sundays and holidays a standard program is available for families, individuals, and groups. Bookings are essential.

To avoid any inconveniences, we request that all visits are booked prior to arrival via E-mail: dfmaria@libero.it or telephone (refer to contact information). Different schedules can be agreed upon.

(In the event of bad weather, the outdoor activities can be substituted for others that can be performed in our ample indoor areas.)

This year, knowing the economical difficulties our country is undergoing, we have reduced our tariffs to give more people the possibility of enjoying the authentic experiences of our farm. It is our wish to spread the genuine beauty of Nature.

PROGRAMME

Starts 10.00: Welcome and introduction to the farm.
10.30-13.00: Farm Experience - We explore, in-depth, one aspect of the farm life.
13.00 - 14.00: Packed Lunch prepared at Farm with our own organic produce.
14.00 - 1630: Farm Experience - We explore, in-depth, one aspect of the farm life.
16.30 -17.00: Free time and Farewells.

YEARLY CALENDAR

All Year Round Activities
- Tastings: made from our farm Organic Produce to celebrate events, anniversaries, spend time with friends; or just to dine immersed in nature with the possibility of enjoying recreational and fun activities. In the summer time, treat yourself with a serata dining alfresco surrounded by the forest; in winter, book our lovely dining room and have an cosy evening by the fire.

- Outdoors and Indoors Activities: (In case of bad weather, we have comfortable areas heated by a biomass boiler) Guided visits along the paths of Monte Ceva Forest. The paths are equipped with signage illustrating the fauna and flora of the area to help recognize plants, herbs, mushrooms, animal tracks and insects and to identify the characteristic elements of the Humid Areas and trees (oaks, elms and macchia mediterranea - type of shrub). You can visit the Monte Ceva Herbarium, you can make a booking and enjoy practical and recreational activities, research laboratory studies for adults and children.

- Hospitality: The apartments "Quercia" and "Nocciolo" are perfect for a pleasant stay surrounded by nature. They have private bathrooms and kitchen, TV with DVD and VHS, air conditioning, screened windows and fire place.

The Forest Rules: We look for seeds, berries, leaves to design a present for mom and dad or for yourself. There will be a prize for the most original work.

January
Saturdays:14.30 to 17.30 hr - Sundays and Holidays: 10.00 to 17.00 hr
The 5 Senses Plus 1 in the Winter Forest: Architecture of the trees. The wood-fuelled biomass boiler. We look in the forest for materials to make an original Carnival Mask. Forest cutting practices. There will be a prize for whom finds the most colourful materials.

February
Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays:14.30 to 17.30 hr
We will take a stroll to find snowdrops, dens, nests. We will try to find ideas and materials in the forest for an original Carnival Mask. There will be a prize for the most original mask.
Sundays and Holidays: 10.00 to 13.00 hr
We help the birds build their nests.

March
Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays: 14.30 to 17.30 hr
Stroll to discover gems, leaves and flowers. We will turn into carpenters for a day and we will build a chair and we cane it with a "caresse".
Sundays and Holidays: 10.00 to 13.00 hr
Memo-Test: To win you will have to remember the most names of plants seen along the stroll.

April
Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays: 14.30 to 17.30 hr
Stroll to discover the flowers that bloom in the Integral Natural Reserve and that, in this month, offer the greatest number of beautiful examples.
Sundays and Holidays: 10.00 to 13.00 hr
eggs are a symbol of Spring as well as Easter Time, putting one close to our ear we will listen for the little chick that "knocks" on the door of life. We will make Elderflower Syrup and Locust Fritters.

May
Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays: 14.30 to 17.30 hr
Guided visit of the Natural Reserve in the find for Macchia Mediterranea and we will have a contest for the most beautiful photo of flowers or visit to the Monte Ceva Herbarium organized by Prof. N. Tronadore of the Geobotanical Institute of the University of Padova rich for its 477 classified plant species and we will make candles with bees wax.
Sundays and Holidays: 10.00 to 13.00 hr
Guided visit to recognize and pick herbs of the area, that later we will learn how they are used in cosmetics and meals or we will organize for a cooking experience. In the last case there will be a prize for the most original recipe.

June
Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays: 14.30 to 17.30 hr
Orientation talk about the forest or activities with wood.
Sundays and Holidays: 10.00 to 13.00 hr
Guided stroll to learn about the insects that enrich the Monte Ceva environment or activities related to wood, paper, coal, etc. There will be a prize for whom takes a photo of the least known insect.

July
Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays: 14.30 to 17.30 hr
Guided visit oriented to discovering the rocks of Monte Ceva and its geology, we will make experiments with rocks and minerals. There will be a prize for whom takes a photo of the most peculiar rock.
Sundays and Holidays: 10.00 to 13.00 hr
Guided stroll along the Humid Zone, there will be a prize for whom is able to photograph an animal typical of this area or we will play the game of "Il Mercante in Fiera" (the merchant at the fair) and the biodiversity.

August
Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays: 14.30 to 17.30 hr
We will look for branches and leaves to make a xylotheque and a flower collection. We will classify theme and study the uses and conservation of their fruits and seeds or we will prepare preserves and jams. There will be a prize for whom finds the branch with the most original shape.
Sundays and Holidays: 10.00 to 13.00 hr
Guided stroll along oaks and elms or we will prepare preserves and jams. We will make a plants recognition round.

September
Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays: 14.30 to 17.30 hr
We will pick grapes, if there are already ripe, and we will press them with our feet and we will make a race or a direct experience with the honey bees, or we will prepare preserves and jams. There will be a price for the most original recipe.
Sundays and Holidays: 10.00 to 13.00 hr
Guided stroll along the Mediterranean vegetation or preparation of jams. There will be a price for the most original recipe.

October
Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays: 14.30 to 17.30 hr
We will go for a stroll to discover mushrooms and to pick chestnuts we will see who picks the most and we will set the grapes to dry or we will make preserves
Sundays and Holidays: 10.00 to 13.00 hr
We will take a stroll to discover mushrooms and we will have a prize for whom finds the biggest mushroom, and we will pick chestnuts and we will set the grapes to dry or we will make preserves.

November
